Sell your books, straight to readers

Cabins Press gives you a storefront for signed copies, bundles, and merch, plus print orders through the BookVault integration and ebook delivery straight to a reader's library in the Cabins Press Reader app. You take the orders, handle the shipping, and keep the relationship and the margin instead of handing both to a marketplace.

Your own storefront

Selling straight to readers means a store of your own instead of a listing on someone else's marketplace. You can sell signed copies, bundles, and merch, and you handle taking the order and shipping it yourself, so you keep the relationship with the reader who bought it and the margin a marketplace would otherwise take.

That relationship is the part a marketplace listing does not give you. When a reader buys from a marketplace, the marketplace owns the customer record, the shipping, and often the price. When a reader buys from your own storefront, the sale, the shipping, and the reader who made it are yours to build on for the next book.

Print without a separate vendor

Print copies ship through the BookVault integration built into Cabins Press, so signed copies and print orders do not require you to set up and connect a separate print vendor account on your own. An order for a signed paperback goes through the same storefront as an ebook or a bundle, rather than sending a reader to a different site for the physical version.

That matters for a reader too. Someone who wants a signed copy of a book they already love should not have to leave your storefront, find a print-on-demand site, and hope the right edition and cover are the ones that turn up. The order, the payment, and the shipment all trace back to the same purchase they started.

Support before launch

Direct sales includes pre-release support, so you can start taking orders and building toward launch day before the book is actually out, rather than waiting until publication to open the store. Orders placed early carry momentum into launch day instead of starting from zero.

A reader who wants a signed copy, a bundle, or merch tied to an upcoming book does not have to wait for publication day to place that order. Pre-release support means the store itself, the one that will sell the finished book, is already open and able to take an order before the book exists as a finished product.

Ebooks delivered to a reader's library

When a reader buys an ebook from you, it appears in their Cabins Press Reader library automatically, the same as any other purchase made through a Cabins Press author. They do not have to import a file by hand; it is simply there the next time they open the app, which is one less step between a reader deciding to buy and a reader actually reading.

That delivery path is the same one used for every ebook a Cabins Press author sells, so a reader who has bought from more than one of your books, or from other authors on the platform, finds all of them in the same library rather than juggling delivery emails and download links for each purchase.

What it costs

Direct sales is free to use during the free beta, which runs through December 31, 2026, and no card is required. The only Cabins Press charge is a platform fee of 3% on the sales you make above $5,000 in a given month, plus Stripe processing; sales below that threshold are not charged a platform fee.

That structure means the storefront, the BookVault print integration, the pre-release support, and the ebook delivery described above all come with the account from day one.

  • A storefront for signed copies, bundles, and merch
  • Print orders through the BookVault integration
  • Pre-release support for building toward launch
  • Ebook delivery straight to a reader's Cabins Press Reader library
